About us
Pastor Richard Everton Scott is of very humble beginnings, the fourth of eleven children for his mother. He was born and grew up in the inner city community of Railway Lane, Montego Bay, St. James. He accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour of his life in February 1997 as a young man and fell in love with the word of God almost immediately after. Since then has been on a quest to knowing God and making Him known.
A few years later he began to feel the call of God on his life into full time ministry and there God opened a door with a scholarship to World Changers Bible Institute in Knoxville, Tennessee. There he completed a two years bible training program (2001-2003) and during his final year began to put into writing the things that God has laid on his heart concerning WTLCI. Upon returning to Jamaica he married his lovely wife Nicola who is also a scholar of the same bible school. Together they have three beautiful daughters; Jody-Anne, Renae and Micah Lee. Later, Pastor Scott perused a correspondence course and obtained a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Christian Counseling at the Central Christian University, North Carolina, USA.
Over a period of 15 years both Pastors Richard & Nicola were leaders in their local church in Montego Bay as well as leaders of a ministry in Negril, Westmoreland.
As the call of God became more evident on their lives and the vision God has put in their hearts propelled them, they migrated to Cove in Hanover and started a Home Bible Study in September of 2011 with four adults and two children in attendance. The following week they were offered the conference room at Boardwalk Village to facilitate their Bible Studies and on November 27, 2011 they had their first Sunday Morning Service at Kool Runnings Water Park Conference Room. Due to the seasonal closure of the Water Park they had to seek a new home for the church and with God’s favour, found the Conference room at Negril Beach Club on Norman Manley Boulevard, Negril, Westmoreland.
In January 2012 Word To Life Church International Limited became incorporated under the Companies Act of the laws of Jamaica. It is a non-denominational Church where God is experienced and His love is demonstrated.
On March 17, 2013 both Pastors were ordained by their overseer Reverend Donovan and Dianne Kerr of New Life Ministries International, Nantucket, MA, USA. Pastor Richard E. Scott as Senior Pastor and Pastor Nicola L. Scott as the Associate Pastor of Word To Life Church International Limited.
